Human Authority vs. Human Review

A checkbox at the end of the process is not the same as control over the process. Sentinel Dynamics distinguishes between the two.

Human Review

  • Reviews output after it is produced
  • May become ceremonial if rejection is not meaningful
  • Often appears only at the final stage
  • Can become a checkbox without real control

Human Authority

  • Defines the objective
  • Controls permissions
  • Can reject, revise, regenerate, pause, or stop the process
  • Approves significant actions before execution
  • Remains accountable for the outcome
  • Can revoke temporary access
  • Receives an audit record of important actions
Sentinel Dynamics is designed around human-in-authority, not merely human-in-the-loop.

What runs automatically, and what does not

Monitoring, diagnostics, and reporting may operate automatically. Repairs, modifications, deployments, publishing, deletion, or other system-changing actions require explicit approval.
